March 18th 2003 - April 15th 2008
Our beautiful Princess Samantha passed away on Tuesday April 15th. Samantha was a very special and very brave princess who touched the hearts of people in every corner of the world, and her light, strength and courage will shine forever. We were honoured to have had her as part of our lives and so proud that she accomplished more in her short life by inspiring others than we could ever hope to achieve.
I have received hundreds of e-mails from people all over the world asking how they can help raise the profile of Neuroblastoma. With the help of our friends at Georgie's Fund there are 2 ways of doing this, you can buy a wristband or contact the Mum's of Heanor and my school who have set up a fund to help me at thelittleprincessfund@hotmail.co.uk Click Image Below to Raise Awareness with a Neuroblastoma Wristband. The Georgie's Fund Website has a great page of photos of people from all over the world wearing the wristband, so you can see just how far around the world we have spread awareness of Neuroblastoma. Make sure you send them a picture of yourself too wearing your band with pride. Let's raise awareness together. What else do you want from me....Blood? I hear you cry, well it's funny you should say that. The only reason I am still here and you are reading my diary is because of the many people who give blood to help others like little old me. You could save a life, it won't cost you a penny, and you even get a free biscuit thrown in too! I don't know of a better deal than that, do you?
The aim of this site is to raise awareness of Neuroblastoma and help you understand the challenges faced by children and their families as they fight this deadly disease, and hopefully inspire you to help stop the suffering of this rare but deadly childhood cancer around the world, so please spread the word about Samantha's Story. There is NO direct government funded research into Neuroblastoma and drug companies only fund research into diseases that will make profitable returns for their share holders. Neuroblastoma is not one of those diseases.
